Las Vegas Business Academy
Corey Sanders, Chief Operating Officer of MGM Resorts International, was honored Wednesday evening with the Las Vegas Business Academy’s first Mastership Award at its third anniversary dinner in Twist at the Mandarin Oriental. Sanders was presented the award by founder Rino Armeni, who recognized the executive’s commitment to higher education and to the personal growth that is essential in becoming the ultimate leader.
Guests enjoyed a spectacular dinner under the direction of three-star Michelin Chef Pierre Gagnaire.
Guests included LVBA board members, business executives and media. All four LVBA scholarship recipients (Tasha Schwikert, Matthew Sheahan, Keivan Roebuck, and Daven Cameron) attended dinner, and acknowledged to the group the impact that education and mentorship provided by LVBA has had on their lives. All four are committed to excellence in their careers and giving back to Las Vegas.

Founded in 2011, Las Vegas Business Academy (LVBA) is a nonprofit organization devoted to providing scholarship funds for students pursuing a law degree or master’s degree in business or hospitality management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). LVBA’s program offers selected college students educational enrichment, professional development, financial aid and unparalleled mentoring resources with top-tier industry leaders in an effort to establish Nevada’s next generation of leaders.
